People more aware of making gold... or are they?

Seems like its harder and harder to be able to sell things on AH wether it's glyphs/gems/scrolls.
My idea is that alot of people have ditched their gathering professions for crafting professions, not only due to better rewards ie, better gems such as 34 strength instead of 20 strength.
I believe that people have become more aware of the fact that crafting professions always have been more rewarding when making gold too.

I think everyone remembers the time when things had to be grinded by your own because you didnt have any gold yourself (mostly at vanilla) But today there's all sorts of way to be able to avoid these endless grinds. Making gold today isnt a concern thanks to daily quests and various items that be crafted by most players, (craftable professions)

But the competition has beeen raised (yes everyone has at least 1 char with a maximized Craft.P. these days) which means its going to be alot harder today to sell a gem than back at the time when the realm only had perhaps 10 players at each faction that were really involved in the gem market (level 70)

Prices has always been cut down on gathering mats during the last months due to purchasable frostlotus and transmutions cd being taken away (titansteel anyone?)
Meaning... lots of people got rid of their gathering professions because there was no gold in it anymore and when trying you always had to fight with bots for these gathering materials.

But I lately I've seen such a high demand on almost all these mats gained from gathering professions that prices sometimes has been sky high on items such as deadnettle! Deadnettle today going for 25g@stack and before just were sold for just below 9g@stack. I have seen lichbloom stacks for 70g@stack plenty of times.

But the real deal seems to be "lowbie mats", Sungrass going for 5g a piece! Icecaps for a similar cost. I mean the whole lowbie market for mats is just on fire.

Simply put.
If you still enjoy spending some time in Azeroth then pick up a gathering profession at any choise and start gathering, but remember not to put more than 3-4 stacks of each sort since you can easily overflow the market. You still want your stacks to be sold at a high price!

GL

edit: I'm currently farming Fel iron ores since a stack of these cost just below 130g@stack -.-

I'm back

Renewed my subscription to wow again for another 6months, had some auctions running while the account was down so I'm only 700g away from reaching the goldcap!

Out of time.

My gametime ran out yesterday @ wow. Unfortunately I'm 2k gold away from cap. But I'm not sure if I will renew my subscription just yet since a few ingame friends is taking a break from wow during the summer.

More time for Heroes of Newerth and tf2.

My gold goals

At the beginning I tried to set realistic goals such as "4k gold this week" etc because I was unaware of how the market worked. Until just a few weeks ago I was just an ordinary wow player who were pretty much clueless of how to make real gold using AH.

I've spent countless of hours farming stuff on my own such as eternal fire, minerals and herbs with very little profit per hour and not to mention the fatigue of going about doing it. I did just despite that my friends told me that this was a poor way of making gold. Having crafing professions will make a big difference if you know how to use it properly.

I started to read on different forums and watched countless of videos on yourtube.com and finaly realised that the best way of making gold is making sure that the gold works for you, not the opposite.

I spent more and more time at AH and finaly I became a camper whether I liked it or not. And its the best way of getting rid of competition too.

But my conclusion is that reaching the goal isnt really that important. What matters is how you do it, and what you could have improved while doing so. Personally I find trial and error the best best of learning how to make money.

Free ink of the sea almost

I came across a great deals on AH today. Ink of the sea stacks @ 45g, bought 10 of 'em which should keep me suppplied for a few days ahead!

invested in some uncut blue gems as well, should turn into a nice little profit.

Purchased for roughly 8-10g per gem, while cut they go for 3.5 to 5 times as much.

Rain

Yep, the summer is here and it brought rain, luckely I managed to find a gap between the precipitation and went out shopin' for food. Just as I unlocked my front door the rain began again. But never the less I'm happy I didnt have to put out with it!

Multitasking

I easily get bored when camping the auction house so I try to entertain myself while doing so. Most often I watch tv series (but at the pc) or simply read different forums.

The most recent tv show I watched was "Death note" Simply put its about special notebook. The notebook originally belongs to a death god whom is bored and decides to toss the book into the human realm. A student named Light Yagami finds the notebook and while in his possession he tries to become a god of a new world that he tries to create with help from the notebook.

I wont go into more details but the notebook is literally deadly.

Great anime serie but it became a little repetitive after a while. Great mindgames however, well worth watching if you have time to spare. But I must admit that I was a bit disappointed at the ending.

Extra thanks to Stefan who recommended this serie.

Not just wow

I have plenty of time for other games as well!

just finished playing some cs rounds, been ages since I last played it but I love the games simplicity

You join a server, play some rounds and when you're fed up you can leave when ever you want. Compared to Heroes of newerth where you have to play with randoms until the game is finished which can be quite annoying at times.

I'm gonna watch some tv now so good night!

Gold Cap soon rached!

After roughly 2 months of countless ah camping I'm finaly beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've always had a decent ammount of gold compared to what may be considered "average" but I had never thought of the idea to reach the goldcap myself as I thought it was impossible.

I've made many mistakes during these intense weeks but thanks to trial and error I've managed to figure out how the market works and how to milk ah for my personal gains. However I'm sure that I still have plenty to learn!

uploading a pic for some proof of my "achievement"
